Discord Rich Presence (RPC) ⬡

OSMV features an automated Discord Rich Presence manager that updates your Discord status activity with your current playing track details and custom messages.

⚡ Key Features

Automated Album Artwork: Uses the iTunes Search API to fetch high-resolution album cover URLs. These are uploaded on-the-fly to Discord to show the exact album cover as the large RPC image.
Custom Idle Messages: Show custom details and state when you are not playing any music.
Interactive Controls: Toggle Discord RPC ON/OFF dynamically from the settings.

⚙️ How to Setup

To display your status on Discord, you need a custom Application Client ID:

Go to the Discord Developer Portal .
Click New Application and give it a name (e.g., “OSMV” or “Listening to”).
Copy the Application ID (Client ID).
Paste the Client ID into the Discord Client ID input field in the OSMV settings panel.
(Optional) In the Rich Presence -> Art Assets tab of your Discord app portal, upload small status icons named:
- playing
- paused
- stopped These will show up in the bottom-right corner of your cover image to represent play status.
Click Save Settings in OSMV.
